Ash is a 3-4 yr. old girl who was found wandering as a stray on a scorching hot day. She was infested with over 55 ticks, many which were embedded & fleas. In order to find all of the ticks & remove numerous burrs, she was shaved. Orphan's youngest member, who is 13 y.o., believes so strongly that this beautiful girl is deserving of a second chance, that she used her own money to have Ash spayed & shots given. She is crate- trained, house-trained & is learning basic commands. She weighs 51 lbs. & is great with people, especially children, as she is seemingly aware that she was rescued by one.
Spike is an adorable, well-behaved, sweet-natured 1 yr. old. He weighs 7 lbs. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, adults & children. He is crate-trained. He has been dewormed & started on Revolution. Prior to adoption he will be current on shots & neutered.
Nemo was rescued from the pound by a wonderful & caring person. He is currently being fostered in Point Pleasant WV. Nemo is 2 yrs. old, neutered & weighs 60 lbs. Not only did he get this name because he is part dachshund, but he slinks right into you when he wants you to pick him up. He is approx. 5 mos. old & weighs 8 lbs. Dakota is a cute 9 wk. old, female pup who was being given away free on the side of the road. She has been dewormed as she was full of roundworms & has received her first & second set of puppy shots.

Jayla (daughter-on left) & Bella (mom-on right). Jayla is 1 yr. old & is slightly larger at 55 lbs. Bella is 2 yrs. old & weighs 45 lbs. When they first arrived, they would not leave each other's side. Although they are very bonded, the longer that they are in rescue, the more they are mingling on their own with other dogs. They can be adopted together or separately. They have been spayed, dewormed, started on Revolution for flea/tick/heartworm prevention & are UTD on shots. A fenced yard is necessary to adopt them.

This strikingly handsome 1 yr. old, 85 lb. boy came from a shelter in KY. His previous owner transported him to the pound in the back of his car, in a closed trunk, on a sweltering hot day. He has an amazing personality & thrives on human contact- the more the better. He would love nothing more than to have a family that showers him with the attention that he is so deserving of. Give this big guy a hug & he will be your friend for life. He gets along great with other dogs as he loves to play, he even takes on the submissive role. He is housebroken. He has been neutered, microchipped, is UTD on shots, been dewormed & started on flea/tick/heartworm preventative. He will go to an indoor home only.
This poor, sweet baby girl originated from a backyard breeder who sold her to a farmer. The farmer threatened to shoot her because she chased the chickens. It is hard to believe that she is 5 mo. old. as she is so tiny from prolonged malnourishment. She was covered with embedded ticks that were subsequently removed. She has been dewormed as she had a tremendous load of hookworms. Her tail had just recently been docked & is starting to heal. Note that this is normally done when pups are just a few wks. old. There is no medical reason for tail docking as it is a purely cosmetic and painful procedure. She has a very submissive personality to everyone, other dogs & people. Given time, she plays, which is very new to her. Initially, she would have to be carried outside to go to the bathroom, then she would crawl on her stomach but now she is walking out on her own. While heartbreaking to watch & wonder what she has been through, every positive step is a great achievement. She wants to please so very badly but is just not sure what she is expected to do.
